Associate Attorney-Experienced

Job description

Associate Attorneys are responsible for 80-100 cases at a time and are responsible for all aspects of the case from the initial “Welcome Email” to the conclusion of the case.

This position requires excellent time management & computer skills; as well as professionalism and ability to track deadlines effectively. Associate attorneys are responsible to follow all firm policies and procedures, ensure clients know the status of their cases, that all deadlines are met, drafting all pleadings, researching and developing legal strategies, with supervision of division managers, and implementing the strategy as developed.

Associate Attorneys must show absolute preparedness for meetings and court appearances; be able to write clear, concise, detailed correspondence.

Depending on the division, the associate attorney position will go to court frequently with and without co-counsel, research, draft motions, prepare for trials, depositions, mediations, and negotiate. If in transactional law divisions, then court appearances would be minimal.

This is a demanding, fast-paced, full time, high case load attorney position.

Salary, Probation, & Growth Potential

Experienced attorney starting salaries are negotiable based on experience and other benefits the attorney brings to the firm. Starting salaries for experienced attorneys generally range from $70-85,000 base salary, plus full benefits as outlined on the main career page.

Associate Attorneys do not have to bring in any business, have or develop a book of business, nor do they have to handle billing or administrative issues. We really want great team members – maturity, leadership, organization, desire to try cases, and desire to work as a team, recognizing that we are better together than we are solo – that can do a better job for clients and enjoy our work with an excellent work-family life balance.

There is unlimited growth potential in practice areas, management/responsibility, partner track, & salary.
